Xanthous TechPrivacy policy
How Ring Sizer handles photos, measurements, and support requests.
Effective September 27, 2026. Ring Sizer for iPhone and Android is provided by Xanthous Tech LLC. This policy covers both apps; where they differ, it says so.
On-device processing
Ring Sizer processes measurement photos on your phone. We do not upload measurement photos or analysis to our servers. The app has no account system, advertising, analytics SDKs or cross-app tracking. The bundled image-processing and machine-learning libraries run locally.
The Android app has no internet permission, so it cannot send data over the network. It includes MediaPipe, Google's on-device hand-landmark library; its usage logging is turned off and cannot upload anything because the app has no network access.
Information saved on your device
Confirmed measurements include the selected or captured photo, available image metadata, camera tilt readings (and, on iPhone, camera motion readings) when captured in the app, detected card/ring/finger geometry, hand masks and skeletons, manual adjustments, results and notes. On iPhone, they are stored in the app's Documents folder. On Android, they are stored in the app's private storage and are not visible in a files app. Imported photo metadata may contain location if it is present in the image you select. Library imports do not provide the app's camera motion sample stream. Preferences are stored locally.
Permissions and deletion
Camera access is used to take measurement photos. Motion readings help show the level guide and record camera tilt; on Android, these come from the accelerometer. The system photo picker shares only the images you choose. On Android, the app does not request storage or media permission. You can change permissions in iOS Settings or Android Settings.
Saved measurements remain until you delete them. Delete individual measurements from History or the result screen, or use Delete all measurements in Settings (on iPhone: Settings → Saved measurements → Delete all measurements). On iPhone, you may also manage their folders in Files. On Android, uninstalling the app also removes them. These actions do not delete source images from your photo library.
Backups, sharing and external links
iOS may include app data in device or iCloud backups according to your settings. Android may include saved measurements and preferences in your Google account backup and in device-to-device transfers, according to your backup settings. Files you copy or share go to the destination you select. Those copies and backups are controlled by you and their providers; deletion inside the app does not delete them. Links to external size-chart websites are governed by those websites' privacy policies.
Support
When you email ringsizer@x-tech.io, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond to your request. You can ask us to delete support correspondence, subject to applicable legal retention requirements. Please avoid sending card details or other information unnecessary for your support request.
